2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Display product listings to buyers

3. Information Sharing

Public Information:

• Farmer names are visible on product listings and profiles
• Product details are publicly accessible
• UPI IDs are visible to interested buyers on product pages
• Phone numbers (if provided) are visible on farmer profiles
• Verification badges are publicly displayed
• Feedback and ratings are public

Private Information:

• Email addresses are NOT publicly visible
• Passwords are encrypted and never shared
• Buyer identities are visible only in deal records

Third-Party Sharing:

We do NOT sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. The only third-party service we use is Firebase (Google) for backend infrastructure.

4. Firebase and Data Storage

Farm To Table uses Firebase (provided by Google) as our backend service. This includes:

• Firebase Authentication for user login
• Cloud Firestore for data storage
• Firebase hosting infrastructure

Your data is stored on Firebase servers and is subject to Google's privacy policies. Firebase employs industry-standard security measures to protect your data.

5. Data Security

We implement security measures to protect your information:

• Passwords are encrypted using Firebase Authentication
• Data transmission is secured via HTTPS
• Access controls limit who can view certain information
• Firebase security rules protect database access

However, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

6. Cookies and Tracking

Farm To Table does NOT use cookies for advertising or tracking purposes. The platform uses minimal session management provided by Firebase Authentication to keep you logged in.

We do NOT use:

• Analytics tracking (Google Analytics, etc.)
• Advertising cookies
• Third-party tracking scripts
• Behavioral profiling

7. Your Rights and Choices

Access and Update: You can view and edit your profile information, including phone number, from your profile page.

Delete Listings: Farmers can delete their product listings at any time.

Account Deletion: To delete your account, contact us at anupamashetter@gmail.com. Note that some information may be retained for legitimate business purposes or legal compliance.

Opt-Out: Since we don't send marketing emails or track you for advertising, there's nothing to opt out of beyond deleting your account.

8. Children's Privacy

Farm To Table is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with information, please contact us immediately.

9. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, we may retain certain information for:

• Legal compliance
• Dispute resolution
• Fraud prevention
• Platform analytics (anonymized)

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent changes. Continued use of the platform after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
